Arree O Samba, which are your favourite dialogues from Bollywood?

Bollywood! Just like Cricket, in India we also have weird attachments with Bollywood movies. It is our favourite pass time as well as the favourite topic to criticise even if we know nothing about the hard work and time vested in it. But if we love a movie, we will make sure we watch it as many times as possible (I'm talking only about the movie freaks, like me).

Now, what makes a movie what it is?

Story line, yes.
Actors, yes.
Locations, yes.
Music, of course and what else?

The most enjoyed part of the movie even if all the other factors fail are the DIALOGUES. With witty dialogues, even a boring movie can make the audience have a good time. Today, I am going to share such popular and my favourite dialogues from well known movies. Have a look!

Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi namumkin hai.
From the ever charming, and evergreen Amitabh Bachchan in the movie Don. It was and is one of those movies which will always make you watch it one more time.

Jo main bolta hoon vo main karta hoon. Jo main nahi bolta, vo main definitely karta hoon. Don't angry me!
From our Khiladi Akshay Kumar in the movie Rowdy Rathore. Even if the movie wasn't great enough, the dialogues made it watchable.

Kitne aadmi the? Ab tera kya hoga Kaalia?
Can anyone ever forget this epic dialogue from the epic Gabbar? I guess not. Aaj bhi gali gali mein jab bachha rota hai to maa bolti hai, beta mat ro, Gabbar aa jayega.. Hahahahaha

Zindagi mein teen cheezon ke peeche kabhi nahi bhaagni chahiye – bus, train aur chhokri. Ek jaati hai to doosri aati hai.
From the perfectionist, Aamir Khan in the movie Ishq. When I watched it for the first time, I never realized it was such anti-girl remark. Of course, I did not like it being a girl. Nevertheless, it still is one of the famous dialogues.

Arey o babumoshai, hum sab rangmanch ki katputliyan hai jiski dor us oopar vale ke haath mein hai. Kab kaun uthega koi nahin bata sakta.
There's such a depth in this dialogue and the way the ever charming Rajesh Khanna said it in Anand has marked it on everybody's heart.

Rishtey mein to hum tumhare baap lagte hai, magar naam hai Shahenshah.
Yet another famous dialogue from Big B in the movie Shahenshah. It was that epic movie that gave this name to Big B since its release.

Amitabh Bachchan - Aaj mere paas bangla hai, gaadi hai, bank balance hai. Tumhare paas kya hai? Shashi Kapoor - Mere paas, mere paas maa hai.
This is that one dialogue from Deewar which made me like Shashi Kapoor even though I'm not a big fan of his.

Ek baar jo maine ommitment kar di, to main apni aap ki bhi nahi sunta.
Well, Salman has given many more appreciable and better dialogues, but this one from Wanted surely tops the list.

Mogambo, khush hua.
Whoa! I'm sure this particular dialogue from Mr. India made villains larger than life sorts while it took Amrish Puri to a different level. Hats off to the greatest villain ever!

Pushpa, I hate tears re...
I felt like crying when Rajesh Khanna said this in Amar Prem. How can anybody not love him?

Bade bade shehron mein aisi chhotti chhotti baatein hoti rehti hai, Senorita
And unhe bade bade shehron mein hazaaron fans hai jo Baadshah Shahrukh Khan pe fida hai. Oh! I love his dimples. (P.S. I used to dream about marrying him when I was in school. I'm sure there are thousands of others who did too.)

Aapke paon dekhe, bahut haseen hai. Inhe zameen par mat utariyega, maile ho jayenge.
Such an era it was, when Raj Kumar admired Meena Kumari's feet in Pakeezah. Where are these kind of guys these days?

Kaun kambakht bardaasht karne ko peeta hai? Main toh peeta hoon ke bas saans le saku.
Nobody could have said it with such a style other than Dilip Kumar in Devdas.

Koi pyaar kare toh tumse kare, tum jaise ho waise kare. Koi tumko badal kar pyaar kare toh woh pyaar nahin, sauda hai.
Koi dialogue bole to Rishi Kapoor ke jaise bole. The way he delivered this dialogue in Bobby still mesmerizes me.

I can talk English, I can walk English, I can run English... because English is a very phunny language.
And I can love Amitabh Bachchan till Bollywood exists only because being a man that he is- elegant, stylish and what not, he can deliver this dialogue from Namak Halal so well. How can somebody be so good?

Taareekh pe taareekh milti rahi hai lekin insaaf nahin milta. Milte hai to sirf taareekh.
Said the angry young man of the '90s, Sunny Deol in Damini,

Aaj khush to bahut hoge tum? Hain?
Can anyone replace Amitabh Bachchan's 'Hain' in Deewar? I guess not.

Jo darr gaya, samjho marr gaya.
The macho of all dialogues by Gabbar aka Amjad Khan in Sholay.

Filmein teen cheezo ki vajah se chalti hai... Entertainment, entertainment aur entertainment...
Said the sexy diva, Vidya Balan in The Dirty Picture.

Kuch kuch hota hai Anjali, tum nahi samjhogi.
I still quote this dialogue manipulating it every now and then. Thank you Shahrukh for saying this in Kuch kuch hota hai. Love you!

That's it for now. Do let me know what are your favourite dialogues? Tumhare paas 70 minutes hai.. Till then..

Keep smiling as it is the curve which straightens everything in life... :)
