Medley of Motley

I have always had a special love for movies but watch mainly Bollywood. Its only recently that I have started watching Hollywood too. And if I like some movie, I make sure I watch it at least 10 times. Yes, I am a movie freak. I basically like series (Bollywood sequels are the worst, I don’t like them) and my favourites are X-Men series, The Twilight Saga (I am in love with Edward Cullen :D) and recently Harry Potter series.

I was wondering if Bollywood had made Harry Potter rather than Hollywood, how would it be (considering the great sequels and mystery movies produced by Bollywood :P). There would surely be some changes like the below:

1. Songs – Without songs, what is a Bollywood movie? There have to be at least 5-6 songs in every movie, even if the scene doesn’t demand one. And an item number with some strange lyrics is a must.

2. Actors – In Hollywood all the actors remain same, just that Harry, Ron and Hermoine’s age changes. But in Bollywood, the main three actors would change in every part, only the supporting roles would remain same. The three protagonists’ role would be essayed by some high paying actors in the industry.

3. Harry’s uncle did not want Harry to become a wizard. However, in Bollywood, he would love to see him as a wizard so that he could mint money by making him perform some stupid magic tricks on road.

4. Hermoine and Harry would have fallen in love since the first part and would face many troubles to prove their love to God knows who.

5. There would be another important female role along with Hermoine in the group because even Ron would need a partner, right? You see love is an important and integral element in Bollywood and without which the movie is bound to fail at box office.

6. In the part of Chamber of Secrets, when Harry is taken 50 years back through Tom Riddle’s diary, the book would have been stolen by someone, may be Malfoy, and Harry would have been faced with some horrible circumstances to get out of the diary.

7. Nagini would turn into a female and Voldemort would need to play the famous nagin tune to turn her into a snake.

8. The endings would have been more prolonged and Harry would have had to fight for over an hour to solve the problems in all parts.

These are some of the pointers that I thought Bollywood would change in the enchanting Harry Potter series. Please do share your views and let me know if you think there are some more points till then keep smiling as it is the curve which straightens everything in life…
